Kankles Anyone...

Well, as you can see my ankles have become KANKLES!!! I'm down to one pair of shoes that I can wear. Flip Flops are it for the remainder of the pregnancy. I had to buy a new pair of Crocs (knockoffs from Target) in a bigger size, to accomodate the swelling.
My doula, Stephanie, gave me some ideas to get rid of the swelling, well at least manage it. So I have been taking baths in Epson Salt for an hour and half every night and some days, I take two a day. It has been helping.
I went and saw Dr. Busch, on Thursday, and I gained 6 lbs. in one week. He said maybe the baby gain a 1/2-1 lb. and the rest is water weight. Also, the baby is head down but hasn't dropped yet. There ihas been no dialation or softening of the cervix. So I guess we will see if there is any progress tomorrow. We go see the Dr. again on Monday.
Hopefully, Little Miss will make an appearance sometime soon!!

Patio Furniture

Robert and I went to Ikea looking for storage solutions and found this great patio set, for under $150. Which is why we LOVE Ikea :)

New House - Like we need to take on one more thing :)

As you can see it a brand new pad! It should be complete in the next few days. We are to get keys on the 13th of February!! We're so excited and look forward to having alittle more space. Mom and Dad J are coming to help us hang ceiling fans and move in. We will be moving the weekend of February 23, so if you have nothing to do..... :)

We will miss living in our old house with a giant backyard. But sure can't wait to have our weekends free of yardwork and home repairs.

Dr. Apt now every 2 weeks

Well, now that I am almost 32 weeks prego, its time for Dr. apt every 2 weeks. I have gained a total of 22 lbs, I think. I passed my glucose test, which is a relief. My iron levels were a bit low, but nothing to be too concerned about. So I have 2 months to go until my due date and 7 weeks until I'm done working for this school year.

January Apt & Birthing Classes

Everything is going great! The baby is moving all of the time. The Doctor said everything is going going great. We also went to two weekends of childbirth class. We learned so much! Our instructor was great and our friends Ben and Jenn were in our class which made it fun. This class was taught by a doula, she will be helping me with the birth of our daughter. She is a coach, for both Robert and I. She will show us how to deal with birth in a natural & positive way.

We had our 6 month check-up and everything is GREAT!! I gained 2 lbs and the Doctor says the baby and I are doing great.

After the appointment with the OB, we went to the BIG ultrasound. Right away she said,it was a girl:) I barely remember the rest of the ultrasound. But the tech said everything looked great.

Well, everything is looking great. I finally gained some weight. I gained 8 lbs!!! For a grand total fo 10 lbs, so far. My dr. isn't too worried as I haven't gained too much before this month.

I'm feeling really great! I started feelinng the baby kick on the 13th. Its really strange feeling, that makes me really excited! I can't wait for Robert to feel it.

We finally have our BIG ultrasound on Friday, December 15th at 11:15. If all works out we will try to find out the gender of our little hitchhiker. What is awesome is that Mom and Dad J will be in town, and will go with us to our appointment!!

Everything else is going awesome.

Robert felt it!!

For several days I have been trying ot have Robert feel the baby move, but the baby wasn't cooperating. I'm sure this is only the beginning of our struggles :) We were laying down today and I had Robert keep his hand on my belly. He was like I can't tell if thats you breathing or the baby kicking.... Well, the baby must have heard him, and gave me a swift kick! I think it shocked Robert, that he could feel it some well. Fun Stuff ~~

There really is something in there....

Finally on November 13th, I felt the baby move!!!

Of course, I had been at my friend Jill's house whining about the baby not moving. I was driving home from her house and stuck in traffic and I felt it. I felt it several times again that evening!! Like little punches or kicks in my lower belly.

It was really weird and so exciting, all at the same time!!!

4 month appt.

Here is a picture of Robert and I from this weekend. We went to Sedona with some friends and had a great time. I got a perm about a week ago and am loving it.

We had our 4 month appointment on Friday, October 20th. Dr. Busch said everything was going great! Our test results for Down's Syndrome came back good, so its very unlikely that our baby will have that syndrome. I also had blood drawn for an AFP test, which helps the Doctor's see if the spinal column has closed correctly. In short it checks if your baby has Spina Bifida. We get those results back next appointment unless something is wrong. I also have only gained 2 lbs, which is good. I have a few new found craving like McDonald's chicken nuggets, dill pickle juice and Swedish fish candies.

Our next appointment is November 20th.

Ultrasound

Here is our little bean!! She or he is sucking their thumb. The head is on the right side of the picture.

I have been feeling pretty well. Queasy from time to time, headaches, and very tired. My doctor said all of these are really normal.

I'm about 14 weeks along and happy to report that the 2nd trimester is way better than the first :)

I go to the doctor next Friday for my monthly check-up, so I'll update again after that.

Regular Test Scheduled

We have a nuchal translucency test scheduled for September 25th. Its an ultrasound and a blood test that will determine if the baby has Down's Syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. Here is a link that will explain it a bit better.
http://www.americanpregnancy.org/prenataltesting/firstscreen.html

Other than that I'm feeling great!! No morning sickness, just bits of queasiness. My breast are still super tender which hopefully will go away in the next few weeks. I will be starting my 8th week of pregnancy. YIPEE!! Our next doctor's appointment is on Septemeber 25th as well.

Presenting Little Suzy Zoo

Here is what the baby's room will be done in. It's Little Suzy Zoo by Suzy Stafford.

Nothing New - School Started

I've been feeling great. I'm not sure if it is because of the prescription pre-natals or if I'm just getting used to being pregnant. We go for our 2nd Docotr's Apt on Monday to go over our medical history. I also believe that I will be getting a full physical.

The school year began on Monday, its going great. my kiddos seem to be better behaved. I'm not sure if they are better behaved or I'm more equipped to handle them:)

1st Doctor's Apt.

Our first doctor's appointment was on Monday, August 7th. Robert got to meet the infamous Dr. Busch. everyone laughs at me since my Ob/Gyn's name is BUSCH. Dr.Busch is very matter of fact, down to Earth and has a great sense of humor. We both really like him.

So all is well, he confirmed that I'm indeed preggers. I had blood drawn and an exam. We go back Monday, August 21st, for our medical backgrounds and such.

Grandma & Grandpa Jankovich are told of the news

Robert and I went to Colorado last weekend and told my parents. They were very excited and can't wait for the new addition. I had hoped to get a picture of my parents but the morning we left my Mom was in her bathrobe, so there was definately not going to be a photo.
