Zoo

We took a family trip to the zoo with the Lindstroms. We have a family pass, so its nice we can go for a few hours and not feel like we have to be there all day. Here is Addie and Daddy in her Ergo carrier.


Here are the cutest monkeys in the world. It's an open exhibit, so the monkeys are not in cages and can totally come up to you. The usually hang out on these ropes that are in the enclosure.



It's a really great zoo, its rated as a one of the top five zoos for children.

Shammy Shammy

This is what our family would say when we were naked as little kids. Addie wasn't too excited to have her diaper changed. So I let her play for a bit in the buff.

Great Grandma and Addie

We went to CA to see Robert's family and her is a pic of Addie and her Great Grandma Mary. How does Addie always know when someone is taking a picture of her...:)

A New kind of walker

Here is Addie push around the garbage can. She can't walk on her own yet, but this seems to do the trick. She pushed it around most of the afternoon. It was too funny.

Bubbles

Here is Addie playing with bubbles. This was the first time she played with them. It was pretty cute, she was amazed that they disappeared.

Addison received this little dragon named "Bernice", as part of her Valentine's Day present. She loves it...

80 degrees and lovin' it !!!

Here is Addie at Grandma and Pop-pop's house in Indio. It was really warm there this weekend. SO she enjoyed her biter-biscuit outside, where we could hose her off when she was done. She makes such a mess... Which makes for really great pictures :)

Happy Birthday Great-Grand!!

Robert, Addison and I went to Hemet, CA this weekend to help Grand celebrate her 90th Birthday. The church that she belongs to had a really nice party for her. We got to see a lot relatives that we usually don't get to see. Addison also got to spend some time with her Grandpa Smith and her Auntie, which she also loves.

9 month checkup

The day after her Dr apt for her cold, she had her 9 month checkup. She weighs 18 1/2 lbs, and is 28 1/2 long. She is doing well, and doesn't have another check up until after she turns one.

Our medical insurance changed due to Robert's work. So out pediatrician isn't on our new insurance, so we decided that we would just pay out of pocket to keep seeing him. WE really llike him, he explains everything and is very personalble. And when we told him what was going on with our insurance, he made us a deal. He is only going to charge us $30 for an office visit!! We loved him before and now we really love him. Its nice to meet people that willing to help other people out.

Poor Baby

Poor Addie has been sick for over a week. She had a fever of 102.5 and was really congested. I called the Dr on Sunday night and he said to give her Tylenol and to bring her in the next morning. Her lungs sound cleared and she just had to let the virus take its course. So all week we have been giving her Tylenol and running the humidifier at night. She is feeling better, be still has a NASTY cough. I assume that will linger on for a few weeks. Robert and I were really scared for her, especially at night. She just was so unhappy and HOT. But during the day, she was almost her normal self.

She finally got some...

Here is the best shot of the teeth, I can get. She has two of them. The first finally broke thru on her 8th month bithday and she got the 2nd one the day after Christmas. (If you click on the picture it will get bigger so you can actually see the teeth in the first picture.)

Happy New Year

After a big night of partying, we all laid around in our jammies on New Year's Day. Notice the one hand holding on... In my mind, I keep hearing myself say to her, "Two hands Addison, Two hands!" You can see, she is already not listening :)

Christmas Afternoon

Here we are opening gifts. We got home from Winslow, Addie napped and then it was finally time to OPEN PRESENTS.... Well, it didn't go quite as planned. Addie hates the rocking horse Santa got her. She scream and cried and definately didn't want to get on it. The rest of the toys she was pretty happy with.

Nightly walks

Since our neighborhood had such nice light and decoration up around Christmas, Robert, Addie, Zeuser and I would go for a walk every night to see the lights. Here is Addie and Zeuser. We love the bunting on Addie, it worked great for our walks and for when we were in Winslow.

1st Tea Party

Addie was over playing with her friend Tatum and they had a tea party. Addie didn't want to wear a hat, but Tatum looks sooo cute in hers. I was excited to see that at the Barkat's they have veggie tea parties. Addie is enjoying a beautiful piece of iceberg lettuce.

Christmas Tree Shopping

Here is Addie and I shopping ofr our tree. It's a bit of a challenge in AZ, to find a good tree. We ending up at 3 different places. Addie was quite upset with me, when she reach out and grabbed the tree. I guess she tought the needles were going to be soft.

My safety mat

We got these foam tiles for our living room, since we have no carpet. Addie has figured out that the mat is ok to fall on and the tile is not ok to fall on. Of course she doesn't stay on it.... Darn kids :)

Looky what I can do..

Here she is standing up in her crib, all by herself. Robert got Addie up after her nap and when he walked in, this is what he saw. She is pulling herself up on the furniture and all. Boy is the fun ready to begin :) We lowered her crib matress as a safety precaution. Subsequently, she no longer can get into her "hideout."

OH NO! IT'S SANTA

Well a picture is worth a 1000 words but Addison didn't quite want to give Santa a big hug. She was kind of cranky before hand (needed a nap) so it was kind of doomed from the start

BFF

Here is Addie and her first best girl buddy. This is Tatum, she is my friend Jill's daughter. Jill helps me out, by watching Addie while I'm tutoring. The girls are really cute together. Addie gets really excited when she sees Tatum.

Trip to CA

Addie got sick with her first cold on Thanksgiving day. She was a real trooper and stayed in good spirits. She is almost over, thank goodness.


Addie is now offically a girl, she had her first Black Friday shopping extravaganza with Mom and Grandma Jankovich

Sippy Cup

Addie is learning to drink from a sippy cup. She is eating solid food for breakfast and dinner, but still breastfeeding several times a day. She started crawling last week, so now we are in big trouble.

Halloween and Fall is a bit different in Arizona... Yes, the weather turns cool, we are finally in the 70-80 after a hellish summer. The leaves really don't turn but we were excited to get out and enjoy the weather. So our good friends the Lindstrom's and us went to the pumpkin patch for some photos of Addie and us.

Addison has been doing really good eating food. She however wasn't a big fan of applesauce. Our friends Ben and Jenn were over and Ben wanted to feed her. It was his first time feeding a baby, looks like he might need some more practice....
